Humphrey Simwinga is the co-founder of Bitcoin Victoria Falls, a Bitcoin circular economy project in southern Zambia focused on education, merchant adoption, and community building. We aim to build a thriving Bitcoin ecosystem where people and businesses can easily use Bitcoin for transactions. Through workshops, meetups, and direct merchant support, we teach locals how to understand and use Bitcoin.
We also help business owners accept Bitcoin payments, encouraging practical and sustainable use of Bitcoin in daily transactions. Bitcoin proved to be a tool to level the playing field for us in Zambia as it was a necessity due to our our dying local currency, unfair banking system.
